Automatic Generation Control with Virtual Synchronous Renewables

چکیده

As synchronous generators (SGs) are gradually displaced by renewable energy sources (RESs), the frequency stability of power systems deteriorates because RESs, represented utility-scale solar and wind sources, do not provide inertial response, primary secondary tertiary regulation. a result, remaining SGs may be sufficient to maintain balance stability. The concept control strategies virtual (VSGs) enable inverter-based emulate outer characteristics traditional participate in active systems. This paper focuses on automatic generation (AGC) with renewables (VSRs). First, VSR strategy that enables RESs AGC is introduced. Second, based interval representation uncertainty, output RES transformed into two portions, i.e., dispatchable portion stochastic portion. In portion, can jointly SGs. Accordingly, security-constrained economic dispatch (SCED) model built considering operating mode. Third, solution employs slack variables acquire deterministic constraints Finally, proposed SCED solved 6-bus 39-bus results show that, compared maximum point tracking (MPPT) mode, VSRs SGs, increase penetration level decrease cost.

Economic Automatic Generation Control

Automatic generation control (AGC) regulates mechanical power generation in response to load changes. Its main objective is to maintain system frequency and keep energy balanced within each control area. However, how to make AGC more economically efficient is less studied. In this paper, we propose an approach to modifying the conventional AGC to improve its economic efficiency by reverse and f...

A Virtual World Grammar for automatic generation of virtual worlds

Hybrid systems such as those that combine 3D virtual worlds and organization based multiagent systems add new visual and communication features for multiuser applications. The design of such hybrid and dynamic systems is a challenging task. In this paper, we propose a system that can automatically generate a 3D virtual world (VW) from an organization based multiagent system (MAS) specification ...

A Virtual Synchronous Generator Based Hierarchical Control Scheme of Distributed Generation Systems

Sustainable energy-based generation systems, such as photovoltaic and wind turbine generation systems, normally adopt inverters to connect to the grid. These power electronic interfaces possess the characteristics of small inertia and small output impedance, which create difficulties to stabilize the voltage and frequency of a distributed power source. To deal with this problem, a Virtual Synch...
